Brand Refresh & Self-Service Marketing Toolkit
The Atlanta Chapter of the National Black MBA Association needed a more cohesive visual identity and a scalable way to create marketing materials across a volunteer-led organization. Existing assets lacked consistency, and routine communications often required design support for even simple updates.
I refreshed the chapter’s visual identity and developed a comprehensive self-service toolkit, including social media templates, event promotions, member spotlight graphics, brand guidelines, and reusable design assets. The result was a flexible system that maintained brand consistency while enabling chapter leaders to create materials independently.
Challenge
The Atlanta Chapter relied on a variety of volunteers and stakeholders to create communications throughout the year. Without clear brand standards or reusable assets, marketing materials often varied in quality and appearance.
Solution
I modernized the chapter’s logo, simplified its structure for improved legibility, and introduced a flexible visual system built around vibrant brand colors, circular motifs, and halftone-inspired graphic elements. These components were then applied across a suite of customizable templates for events, social media posts, member spotlights, and educational content.
To ensure long-term sustainability, I created easy-to-use templates and guidance that allowed non-designers to produce branded materials while maintaining consistency across channels.
Outcome
Established a clearer, more modern visual identity for the Atlanta Chapter.
Created a scalable system of reusable assets and templates.
Reduced reliance on designers for routine marketing needs.
Improved consistency across social media, event promotion, and member communications.
